The Kelley School of Business Indianapolis Accounting Association is designed to further students’ education, to obtain more than academic knowledge of accounting, and to observe the position of accounting and its practitioners in today’s society. The Association’s goal is to unite by social and professional activities those students with common career and business interests.
The KSBI Accounting Association provides a number of opportunities for our members. These opportunities include our meetings, notification of possible employment with local firms, and networking events.
Our meetings are aimed at helping students learn more about the industry. Our meeting topics include a wide range of subjects such as what to expect on the CPA exam and what experiences auditors may face in the industry.
The Association also offers a number of opportunities for those interested in accounting to possibly gain employment. For example, the Association periodically sends out employment opportunities from local accounting firms via social media to our members. In addition, the KSBI Accounting Association co-sponsors the Accounting Meet the Recruiter Career Fair. This event is a great way to meet both CPA firm and Corporate recruiters who are looking to hire students for internships or full-time positions.
The KSBI Accounting Association offers many other opportunities for students such as networking with peers and professionals in the accounting industry. Our Networking Now events provide students the opportunity to meet with employers to learn more about the firm, industry news, and more about accounting in general.
If you find accounting interesting, you should join the fun! Membership is open to any full or part-time student of any major attending IUPUI.
